The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom
Mitch Albom does it again. He captures my attention from the beginning of every story he tells. Frankie Presto is a magical character whose music brings life to this story. Like all Albom's stories, this was one I didn't want to end.
I have been in education for over 22 years. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades. I retired as a high school librarian and have been for the past 8 years. Being the librarian is a great mix of my teaching, working with students in a positive way, and my love of reading. I love that technology is advancing, but I still read paper books, along with my ebooks! There is something about flipping the pages, knowing how long a chapter is, or how many pages until the end!
Since I retired I have started to listen to audiobooks too. I love that I can be working on something and listen to a book at the same time!
I have been trying to keep my posts up to date, but have not been doing a great job lately. I am still including the books I have read, but have not been able to write about all of them. Please know that just because there is not a posting after the title, does not mean I did not enjoy the book. If time permits, I will try to go back and add to my list.
